Our Founding Story
We're Kensi and Sarah, and our journey began in 2018 when we were roommates at the University of Michigan.
We bonded over challenging science courses and our shared ambition to become Physician Assistants, but as we navigated the pre-PA track together — we realized how little guidance was available to us. We often felt lost due to a lack of helpful resources, and as lower GPA applicants, our paths were that much more uphill.
Despite these challenges, we learned through trial and error and by helping one another to carve our own unique paths to acceptance.
After taking 2 gap years, interviewing with several programs and graduating from Pace University, Kensi is now a dermatology PA working in NYC. And after 4 gap years, working in plastic surgery and fertility, Sarah is nearing the end of her first year of PA school at Chamberlain University.
Kensi started The PA Prep, an initiative to provide personalized guidance specifically for PA school applicants, to fill the gaps in counseling that we wish were available during our application process. Sarah joined the PA Prep team to help further our mission as an advisor and by producing helpful content for the pre-PA community.
We are passionate about giving students the tools to be the best candidates they can be by offering essay editing, CASPA advising, and interview preparation to help them confidently secure acceptances at their top programs. We can't wait to work with you and help you achieve your goals!
